PNG Format
You can export your Expression Design artwork in the PNG file format by clicking Export on the File menu. After you type or select a file a name and tell Expression Design where to save it in the Export dialog box, select PNG from the Save as Type list, and then click the Save button.
Expression Design displays the Export Image Settings dialog box, in which you can specify image dimensions, and so on. For more information about the Export Image Settings dialog box, see Exporting bitmapped images. The Export Image Settings dialog box also offers options specific to the PNG file format.
- Mode This option lets you specify a color palette for the PNG image. The PNG file format supports both full RGB and indexed color palettes. If you select Indexed Color, the PNG limits the number of colors in your image to 256. You can control the color mapping with the Palette, Dithering, and Transparency options. For more information, see GIF Format . If you want a full RGB image with no transparency, select 24-bit RGB. To enable full alpha transparency, select 32-bit RGBA.
- Interlaced Interlacing is a method of breaking down an image so that it can be displayed in a browser coarsely at first, and then more finely. If you want your PNG to appear in a Web browser with interlacing, select this check box.
- Save profile If you select the Save profile check box, Expression Design embeds the current ICC color profile with your image.
